#12: The J Guide Demo

All the images for the J Guide are done now, so we’ve started putting the comic together. You can check what we’ve uploaded so far on Instagram @thejguide. There’s still a lot of work to do on the feed and the story might change a little but so far it looks good.

Onyinye is still trying to get paper for the brochure (sigh, it’s tough) and I haven’t had the mental space to try other options. We played around with new colours for the brochure, but seeing as we can’t even get brown filter paper, my hopes of getting salmon pink are low.

After this is done, I need to think about distribution. We’re currently floating a few ideas like trying out Instagram ads to learn about targeting. We might also make other printed goods asides from the brochure.

Google also recently announced web stories, which is really interesting. I’ve long expected stories to become a native web storytelling format and it seems to be a not-so-far-off idea. We might republish the comic part as a web story and try some SEO optimisation for “How to roll”.

But first, can’t wait to get this done.
